• Analytics data: If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) to collect information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and interaction data. This is collected only with your consent. The data is pseudonymised and we do not use it to identify you by name.

Waitlist sign-up and cookie consent are separate: joining the waitlist requires its own explicit checkbox and is not covered by your cookie choices.

We do not run any visitor analytics or advertising tools before you give consent. Analytics is loaded only after you opt in via our cookie consent banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Separately, our hosting provider (Google Firebase) may automatically process limited technical data — such as IP address, browser type, and request logs — to deliver, secure, and maintain the site. When you submit the waitlist form, your information is stored in our database via Firebase.

• Waitlist data: Retained until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for launch communications, whichever comes first
• Cookie preferences: Stored on your device and expire automatically after 180 days
• Analytics data: Where you consent to analytics, data is processed by Google and retained according to our Google Analytics 4 property settings (currently up to 14 months). You can withdraw consent at any time, which stops further collection and clears analytics cookies from your device.

We do not operate an automated deletion system for waitlist data. If you wish to stop receiving communications or have your personal data removed, please contact us at support@darkutubsunnah.com. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure cloud database storage. Access to waitlist data is limited to authorised personnel and is used only for the purposes stated in this policy.

9. Third-Party Services and International Transfers

We use Google Firebase to host our website and store waitlist sign-ups in Firestore. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and may collect standard hosting and service logs (such as IP address and request data) as part of delivering the site. Where you consent to analytics, we also use Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4), with Google acting as our processor. Data stored or processed through Firebase may be handled in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, United States, or other countries where Google operates infrastructure.

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or other mechanisms recognised under UK GDPR.
